Ko3s Or ko4?

I got a ko3s and all the extras, it makes nice figures on the rolling road and goes very well. Much fun to had hammering so called fast cars in a glorified shopping trolley


Here's my latest RR print out, nice figures with out hammering the turbo.

The boxes below are, top row - bhp, torque, bottom row - AFR, boost.

i have a k04 on my ibiza and i love it. 275 is perfect for the ibiza, it embaracess alot of cars too. If you already have intercooler and cat back its not gonna cost the world. you can get all the parts reasonably cheap if you look hard enough. All in all i would say go k04 bit biased tho. Thankyou, i'll bear that in mind. I'll do some research on whats needed for k04 and weigh it up i guess. As it stands, k03s is looking quite cheap.

It shouldn't have that spike around 2800rpm but i've put a restrictor in front of the N75 which makes it better on the road but not as pretty on paper. Similar effect as changing the N75 for a race one but more effective.

Cheers, i've heard mixed things about Revo2. But as its only £50 i'll give it a go. I'll add Star to the list of 'plan b' mappers. Any more info on your restrictor, as again i've heard mixed views on different N75's but never changed mine.

i'm running one of those ecs race n75 valves and it makes a big difference on the road, cant really tell on my old graphs tho

It's the electronic boost controller, you can find it attached to your TIP with three ports (actuator, TIP and charge pipe)

cheers mate just looked at your hybrid thread and wow your cupra is stunning, im trying to work out what turbo to get as want more torque and bhp but dont wana spend thounsands lol so think ko3s??? what you think?? is a ko3s hybrid better than a ko3s?? PS sorry to steal thread lol

Turbo Powers are like this:

Ibiza Cupra KO3 Turbo 156bhp

Later Golf's,Audi TT's and Leon Cupra's kO3S 180bhp

Leon Cupra R's and TT 225's came with KO4 turbos

A hybrid, be it either a ko3 or ko3s is basically a KO4 trurbo but in the shell of a ko3/s

Dont forget there are different k04 turbos. The one that came on Audi TT 225, S3 and Leon Cupra R is a K04-023. There is also a K04-001 which wsa an early variant of a k03s and performs just like a k03s.

Yep, the 2.0T k04 is also completly different in size to the k04 as fitted to the 1.8T

hi mate yh thats really helpful thanks again matey, i have been on touch with cr turbos who will turn the ko3 into the hybrid ko4 for about £550 or so and AMD will fit for £240 +vat need to get other bits first mind. may c u monday mate

Nice work Ant, im going to try and aim to get at AMD for 8:30am, will get a lift to lakeside and hang about while they are fitting the mani then get a life back for logging and rolling road!
