Made a few adjusments to the wastegate and the timing via lemmiwinks over the last week and managed to get out over the weekend to do some logs. To me the Maf is fine and the timing looks like its pretty much at its safest maximum peak? Im not to sure about the requsted vs actual though as i dont really understand how to read it. And the wastegate duty is as good as i could get it without getting some juddring under load. So i wouldnt mind a 2nd opinion from somebody that has abit more knowledge than myself.

I really apolgise for the layout of the logs im unable to make them more readable at the moment as i dont have Excel on my laptop.

Thanks!

Tryed editing this set just to make it abit easier on the eyeso hope it still makes sense as i loged it together with the timing. But have also logged the timing on it own (below)

Glad to hear it :D. Im running V Power everytime i fill up, as for plugs at the moment theres standard in there but have some denso IK22's on order for my service next week!

Thanks Alot :D

Im guessing its not worth turning the timing up any more as theres a few 4.5's on there?

Ive changed from tescos 99 to V power as i heard a few bad things about it? I did prefere using it as 1. it was cheaper and 2. the fact it was 99, So basicly once i have the IK22`s in and possibly tescos 99 the timing could possibly go up further?

I personally found 99 much better.

Get a full tank of 99, do the plugs, TBA it and log again to see if the timing comes down. If you get the same i might be tempted to knock it back ever so slightly as air intake temps on the rollers tend to be a little higher along with the load.

Ok , Chees phil ill bear that in mind. So maybe have timing pull running about 2.5 when logged on the road then adjust it back after the RR?

Which rollers are they? Decent fans?

If its a good setup leave it and log the run and see if you can adjust it for a second run or something.

I havent booked it in yet, im waiting to have my service done, fit my ECS Race valve and get and fit my new induction kit, I was looking though some other threads and apprently if im pulling in 172g/s that would give me approx 225bhp which would mean im still slightly down. Yet if i was pulling around 180g/s that would equal out around the 235bhp mark which is what i was hoping for in the forst place and would be about right. So i thought that maybe the smoothed box 3" cold air feed and green panel isnt quite up to the job and am going to order dynatwist or the likes and see if it makes any differance (was thinking of getting one anyway) If not maybe a new maf may be in order but i cant see that?

what induction are you running at the moment?

I was thinking maybe a jetex cone as ive read that used to be the one jabba used in there kit? Are you using a heat shield with yours? Have you tryed any other ones dynatwist etc.... for this to come out the best? Im just hoping tht if i spend the money on a decent induction kit it pulls in abot more air?

I was thinking about maybe the jetex cone with the same pipe that acid is using that way the cone will sit right next to the arch. Thats assuming the jetex cone will fit onto the end of the CAI pipe?

I've tried... standard airbox, dynatwist open and enclosed, BMC and Jetex open cone with and without a cold air feed.

None of them are as good as the jetex, i logged the same night the 3 and the jetex flowed the highest figures.

And it cost me 40 quid.

And thats what see you at 180g/s?, Where did you get it from? think im gunna run a cold air feed with it aswell, did you suffer and heat soak?

Yeah i've been running the Jetext for about 18 months now.

No heatsoak as the inlet goes to a turbo that runs sometimes at hundreds of degrees, its not an n/a. Your intercool will sort intake temps out, thats why i dont bother with enclosed filters, i cant see the reason behind them on turbo cars.
