Any more white 16v's out there?

Hi all i've just bought myself a white cupra sport 16v in white, i've been looking everywhere to find another but can't.

Was there a limited build number on this or are they just hard come by??

I will put some pics on tomorrow, bought it off ebay, 600 quid with a snapped cam belt!! should have it running this week!!

there used to be a white 16v kicking about in South Devon.... guy used to be a member on here I think... looked superb with white multispokes

snapped cambelt......thats not good - if there has been valve/piston contact (as there probably has given this is an interference engine) then valves could be bent / seats damaged / pistons marked leading to detonation later

I've seen a couple around in Devon, a standish S-plate, and a R-plate with tints. Both look absolutely cool, I'd really like one, but one that I don't use is enough!

itd probably be easier to buy a second hand engine or if possible the head off a second hand engine (youll pay less)

EDIT: But yea id like to see some pics too i bet it looks sweet

I've got a white 8v. I have to admit that time hasn't been kind to the paitwork which has now faded/clouded very badly. It wasn't my first choice of colour but when I bought it in 1997 second hand 8v's were very rare - it took me 3 months to find that one. I have to admit that when the paint was good and I had my OZ Super T's on it looked great.

I've got the head almost off now ready to repair or replace, i'm just struggling to get the bloody exhaust manifold off!!

Yes the car was on ebay but no the plate isbeing transferred by the last owner, it looks like GAY from a distance anyway.(Which i am not) not that i have anythink against them!!lol,

I've got the head off now and i've been lucky enough to of only bent two valves, just pricing parts up now if anyone has any suggestions where to get some cheap parts?
