Hi all,

I've just got my Green Panel filter cleaning kit - and have a quick question....

How do I get to the air filter ?

Do I just remove the screws (how many?), bolt or clips ?

It looks like just the screws, but I want to be sure......

Thanks

i think, you screw of 2 screw on the air mass meter, then remove the clamps, think theres a screws as well on the air box which you may want to undo as well.

simple thing!

 From the complex mods you done, the airfilter is the easiest of them all.

Trust me! You can do it with your eyes closed ;)

Undoe the big jubilee that holds the MAF into the tip, pull the TIP off at least some of the way.

Undoe the two screws at the back of the airbox, No.3 phillips, helps if you have a long screwdriver.

The airbox lid kind of hinges up towards the front of the car, then lifts off.

Be careful with the airbox screws, they burr easily, and be careful not to bang your MAF. Take a good long look at the standard airfilter before you get it out so you put the aftermarket in correct.

thats correct, i have just removed mine,. there are two screws. one on either side. you will prob need a ratchet for one cause its kinda tricky to get to. you will also need to loosen the jubilee clips to get the one pipe out. Its easy mate. you will be fine

when i fitted my bmc panel filter all i did was undo the retaining screws (2 i think) lift the top of the air box up and you can get at the filter to remove it, didn't even need to remove the maf housing from the air box, just jiggle the top cover so it's clear of the retaining clips on the bottom of the air box..
