Today i made some progress with the car.

Bolted on manifold properly then bolted on turbo. I then used the outlet flange and V band adapter from the ATP kit and bolted that on too. Then using the first section of the ATP MK4 LHD Golf DP i used the first 90 degree angle on it and cut the rest off.

Then i had to decide what to do with the waste gate actuator, so i decided that if i got somme M6 threaded rod i could extend the arm and mount the actuator on the side of the head. When its fully open the rod is close to the head but doesn't touch. Also in the pics its only bolted on with 1 bolt, but i have since made a bracket for the other bolt to stop it twisting. I checked it with out mitivac which can be reversed for pressure and it moves nice and freely.

Another task done.

Then it was time for the big moment, sitting the head in postion.

And guess what................................ the bloody turbo fouls on the ABS pump . At this point i was in a instant pap.

Then at that moment my dad turns up, starts shaking his head and says " well son, it will have to be moved, simple as that

So i took the ABS pump bracket off and lowered the pump by 2 inches and sat the head back in place. YES it clears by about 3/4 inch now. So we set too moddifying the bracket and thats were i left it. Just needs welded back together then bolted up.

plus there is room for a DP.....Just.

Poor pics sorry, forgot too turn resolution back on phone after txting hooch
