Hi all im Dan, just registered on here.

At the moment i drive a 306 D turbo with a few mods.

-front mounted intercooler.
-turbo turned up to 19 psi.
-adjusted fueling.
-boost guage.
-Gti-6 front brakes.
-Gti-6 interior.

All this was carried out by the previous owner, I bought it thinking i get a quick car with good fuel economy.... but its crap on diesel! My Fiesta Zetec S was much better on fuel and faster!

Anyway im looking to get an Ibiza tdi 130 sport soon. What are they like on fuel?? Iv read they are quick but what cars does it beat to give me an idea??

Cheers in advance.

 welcome to the site

The pd 130's really are nippy cars for a low group insurance high mpg car! if remapped to 170-180bhp then they will stay or someclaim will beat clio sports, fiesta st's st170's cars like this id imagine they would stay with or beat but the cars your racing do 25mpg average the pd130 can be driven hard and stay above 30mpg probably!!!!

youve come to the right place :seatgod:

40 mpg on a pd100?? How comes?? Do you drive it flat out everywhere or is that normal?? I reckon mine is on par with a pd100 maybe quicker.

i have no idea why it sits at 40 (before the intake and k&n was lower than that!) and nope i dont redline it at all, norm is about 3k but there is a flat spot at around 2k which i want a remap to that this out... celtic tuning can "The 1.9 TDi engines we can take from 100bhp up to 155bhp and from 177lbft torque up to 274lbft torque" "The cost of the remap is £300 all inclusive for which we travel to your location"

Hiya matey good choice so far but would recommend (as i have one) the FR Tdi. Its 130 brake standard and it goes and goes and goes and goes..... I wouldnt say it was blindingly fast but hey its a derv...

What makes me do a sex wee most i sthat when i drive from newcastle to wolverhampton and back i can do it on one tank and still have around 100 miles left.

From a full tank with mixed driving i have managed over 400 miles which imo for something as nippy as the fr is bloody good stuff..... oh and its insurance group 4 and tax bracket 2... quids in.

I have the 1.9TDi 130 sport.

It has been known to show 60mpg on the motorway (70mph)

Normal driving I get into the 50mpg but giving it some serious beans then high 30s or low 40s.

It is on the standard mapping but with the PD160 air intake and a green stuff air filter.

I have heard people say that the mpg goes up after a remap (if you drive it nicely)

On average i get about 350-400 miles from the tank @ £40 to fill up.

400 miles to £40 is roughly 45mpg yeah?? What sort of driving are you doing?

A good mixture of motorway and rural... also blatting to the station when I am running late!

It gets some real abuse too normally when people are sitting on my bootlid..... all that torque and they are gone! that and a bit of smoke which they don't seem to like either.

What was is like on fuel before the pd160 intake and green air filter?? Also how much does this mod cost and are there any noticeable differences?

I used to have a 130 TDI Sport.
With remap, green filter and Cupra intake my long-term average (over a complete mix of roads) was 48mpg.
'Twas easy to get way over 50mpg on steady cruises.

If you get an early 130 TDI Sport there were a few extra toys - extra dials, extra speakers, engine cover, plus several others that I can't remember !

There is not much difference MPG wise from adding the pd160 intake and filter.

Performance wise the turbo seems to pick up quicker and the turbo seems to whistle a little louder...

Oh and as the filter lasts a lifetime it doesn't need to be replaced at service so in the long run you save money!:funk:
