Our lasses LCR is due some new disks.

As they only last a couple of years not wanting to spend a fortune aslong as they work however coice is limited.

Not a real fan of EBC (have these on my Elise and understand they alter the offset slightly) and I hate the turbo groved look (look cheap with fake drilled faces)

Not wanting to pay for Brembo unless forced, cuz they don't last

Has anyone tried these on fleabay?

Same mate! bout 5k on the EBC's with heavy use!
No problem with them at all!
And I haven't noticed any diff in the offset, the reason there dimpled and not drilled is to stop them cracking!
Speak to Badger Bill, he's used them before, on road and track I'm sure!

was wondering about these as they seem very cheap, i had thought they looked like ebc but was too scared to say. they can also be zinc coated in silver or black to stop rust it says, does this work ?

They are based in Chesterfield so not that far to go pick some up, might give them ago as I like to look of the groves.

Which is the best way to fit the groves, from hub leading out or visa versa?

Generaly groves from outside in is the best for de-glasing pads but noisier.

Nb as our lasses car will only be used on the road no track use.

On the brembo **** are the vains between the disc faces handed?

brembo ****?????

i've got mine so they go from the hub outwards. thinks thats the way most are designed to work, supposibly sending the brake dust / heat etc etc away from the brake rather than into the brake. hard to explain, especially this sort of time on a friday nite but i;m sure someone can correct me!

I must learn how to type, I meant Disk you you knew that.

I think most put the gooves in to out as they run better/quieter.

What pads, ebc reds? Is there much between these and the ds2500's?

get the ds2500 mate there much better i think,. tad cheaper too. As for those discs, i looked at them, but didnt like the fact that the grove ran all the way across the face, as i have heard this can lead to cracking of them.

the ds2500 warped my mates brembo discs round the ring, dont use them on those. they are a great pad but not for those discs.

i never had any probs with DS2500 on my Brembo discs, i didnt do any track days though but quite a bit of hard braking on roads never did them any harm. i was very impressed.

the disc at the top are very good when used with red stuff pads (noisey though to start with). my car went in Seat for new Brembo calipers and they fitted new pads at the same time.. Brembo pads with these disc are far to soft.... im forever cleaning the wheels and stopping is nowhere near as good as it is on the redstuff pads (i normally wouldnt big up red stuff but they seem very good with these discs)... i think i'll go DS2500 next.....or red stuff lol :)

ds 2500 never warped my disks and alot of other poeple use them on here without problem.

agree with bill on this on one, reds aren't in the same league. def worth the extra money to get the ds's.

its when I read I took my car on track and my brakes warped, makes me wince.. Road brakes and track use, especially somewhere as long as the 'Ring..

c'mon... fella's

My S8 got judder at the ring, no where else ever, but the ring on lap #1 of last years trip. Was'nt disks, was pad pickup from the OE pads overheating. They got better as the weekend went on tho as it progressively wore back flat again.
Road car, Race track.

must have been crappy RS6 8-pot brembo brakes then! not. Just simple driver abuse. :)

i agree DS2500 are better... i just think with those particular disc the red are a good match.. they had excellent bite and were great with some abuse too.

reds did'nt have the bite the ds2500's had on same disks when i tried em.
initially the reds seemed to be ok, but once bedded in their initial bite went away leaving a wooden feel pedal. (yellows felt the same on my own.)
