Thanks, found a local vag specialist in Leeds, Quoted £155 +VAT.
Dealer surprised me and quoted £203 including VAT so only around £20 between them!!

Why, the money you save from an Independant would more than make up for the money gained from a FSSH would it not? Plus because it has a dealer history doesnt mean it has been carried out to the highest quality!

Stealers or VAG specialist..............no contest!!

And as said as long as its FSH if its been done at a Stealers or an Independant I cant see it would matter for the majority.

I'm thinking of doing my own servicing, at least oil and filter changes anyway, what do you guys think? Will it make it harder to sell long term? Its just SOOO much cheaper that way!

yeah sounds fine to me, like said once its out of warranty, and keep the receipts. The difference in resale value would be small i would imagine, i know it wouldnt effect my price to much if i was looking at them. the amount you save will more than make up for the difference.

Cool. Warranty ran out last month so now its just a case of keeping it going for the next 100k or so miles! :)
