If your after a pc or udm get 1 from www.autopia-carcare.com if you use the word SONUS as a discount code you should also get 15% off. If you do, state that you want low shipping values so you won't get caught by the import duties thats what i did and i've placed a few orders with them.

so who are the pro's then?
it seems that all the detailers on scn get brilliant results with an orbital,so when do they use a rotary?can you get even better results being able to use a rotary properly?
and as for 110v over 240v 1) detailing in the rain is like sitting in the bath with an electric guitar ;)
2) don't details get done under cover to avoid stuff landing on the car ?
3) volts don't kill you,amps do ;)

nope just for the PC itself, delivery wasnt too much we spent about $700 and it was about $50 delivery and it only took 2days to get here :)

If you get it its well worth getting lots of other stuff as with the current exchange rate it works out half price and they pack it as a present too :)

just bought one, £110 for the full shebang, incl delivery and free sonus polish.chucking in some free samples too.:funk:

Sounds like a great deal!!! Fleabay? I decided to wait and see what UDM looks like and what write ups it gets but waiting is hard when deals like yours are out there!! Got to love that strong pound?

theres an ebay shop that sells them for 130 new without transformer, but he throws in some polish and a few pads with it.

Might be getting one off him next month, i already have a transformer so will just have to get the lead made up for it.

Hi, thinking of maybe investing in one of these. I just wondered if anyone knows of any guides out there, how easy are they to use? Or am i best trying to get some real life tuition? How easy would it be to do some damage with one of these?

Thanks

The UDM is rubbish IMO. Reason it is so cheap is because it is a chinese copy of the pc. It shakes violently and it is worth paying the extra to get a pc. Meguiars originally had the UDM developed but were so disappointed in the pre launch trials they pulled out and Autopia took over. If Megs were unimpressed then that must say something, If you are not in a rush there are two other pc based polishers coming out later this year, one of which is being developed by one of the worlds biggest electrical household tool manufacturers but I am saying no more. Other than that is the one I would wait for it is going to get the Porter Cable manufacturers something to worry about let alone the UDM.

Is there any sign on the horrizon of these said new polishers???

all my cash is going towards new parts at the moment but i need to get it sorted bfeore the winter arrives (i might be too late already)

theres an ebay shop that sells them for 130 new without transformer, but he throws in some polish and a few pads with it.

He takes your ££ & orders it for you from Autopia, if you get the DAS/SFX kit they throw you a bottle of Sonus swirl remover in anyway.

Save yourself £30 & order it direct.

They will always mark the value down & delivery is less than a working week [B)]
