What you reckon I should upgrade/mod first?

RobM, got a linky for the small odds and sods?

This forum is the link! ;)

All the info you need is just a search away. There is a part numbers sticky thread at the top of this forum, and there are loads (and loads and loads and loads) of discussion threads about the various other mods on the forum, so have a search for whatever you like the sound of :)

I am sorry and I dont mean to attack anybody but PLEASE do not say remap for tdi's as clutches are a weak point!

If your going to remap there are certain steps (in my opinion) you have to go through before you go for it. research is key...

On the Cupras, yes, but when was the last time you heard anybody say that about a 130TDi? I think you'd struggle to find anybody on this forum, unless their car has covered a large amount of miles.

I was under the impression that the 130 TDI and the 150 TDI shared the same clutch? I'd also bet that there are far fewer Leon 130 TDI's that Cupras Rob.

Which proves the point... if they share the same clutch, and the 130 remaps to give less torque than the 150 when remapped, you are less likely to have this problem as you'll be more within the limits of the clutch.

The 150, depending on remap, hits the limits of what the clutch can do long-term.

The 130 does not produce as much torque when remapped - or power, for that matter - so is within the capabilities of the clutch.

erm...the clutch on my 130 slipped after what I regarded as a relatively mild remap...had about 30k on it when it was mapped.

It was only minor and when I hammered it at low revs - an upgraded clutch was on my shopping list...but then I just bought an LCR.

Quite an extreme way to solve the clutch slip problems I admit.
