Wipers Issues

I have two issues with my windscreen wipers. The first if I have them on Continuous and then get out and lock the car, when I get back in the wipers dont start up when I start the car. I then push wiper lever up and they go off like a mad thing at high speed and I then have to move lever back to the original position, Is this normal? also passenger side wiper occasionally seems to sound like it is hitting window pillar under heavy rain but not on every wipe, just now and again

1st issue i'd guess is because you are stopped. You may (or may not) have noticed but when you stop, your wipers stop to .. (and its damn annoying!) especially sat at traffic lights trying to see if the lights have changed to green yet.


2nd issue - no idea.

Its when I get out and lock the car then go back and drive off the wipers just dont restart even though the lever is in the continuous wipe position. maybe they start above a certain speed but with the rain we had today you couldnt even drive away without clearing screen first

Dont know about your wipers, but mine dont like being rubbed accross a semi dry window, or else they grip and make god awefull noise.

Also one of my blades has a knotch out of them, dealer is going to replace them for free next time im over. Seat said if they are under 6months/ 6000miles they are under warranty

I have this problem too on my Leon Cupra. It is annoying but I've just got used to it.
