Just wondered if anybody had taken the stereo out for any reason and if so i was wondering what the connections on the back are , are they just the standard seat/ford iso plugs ?

Just asking as i want to put in a new bluetooth handsfree and need to make sure i buy the right stereo adaptor

Cheers

It is not standard iso if you need an adapter to give you iso connectors you need an autoleads adapter SOT-076 that is what I used to connect my Parrot kit. Is it a parrot kit you are fitting?

You don't need to cut any wires but you will need a to sort out a switched ignition live this can be done by bringing a wire accross from your fuse box or by using a Autoleads 06 Sense box which creates one. It is just a box you connect into the power lead going to your parrot brain.

You will need the stereo out and the glove box as I found the only place to put the brain is over on the far passenger side there is not a lot of room. I also took out the climate control above the stereo to give me more room to feed the leads.

Oh and you also need to unclip the AUX from the original stereo loom and plug it into the Autoleads one that goes into the back of the stereo. I learned that after I had put everything back together!:headhurt:

I got a switched ignition by tappint one of the CD changer wires from the head unit for my Subwoofer - its a lot easier than running a wire to the fusebox.

Well i tried and failed :(

Managed to get stereo out after a fight , was not as easy as i thought it would be
Then hooked up my parrot ls3200 to my autoleads adapter SOT-076 . Stereo was fully working etc but no power to my ls3200 .
Am i right in saying i need to run the orange 12v ignition wire from the autoleads adapter SOT-076 to a switched live point in the car before it will work at all ?

Hope i aint blown anything up as i was tinkering around for ages with it

Cheers for all your help everyone

Tony

Do you remember which wire it was from the diagram? My Stereo has constant power, and this sounds easier than finding another source..

its number 4 on part c of the diagram mate ( switched live )
This is ok if your using it for the remote wire on a sub as the stereo needs to be on for the sub to work ......... but not so good if you use it for a bluetooth kit like i have , as the stereo HAS to be powered on for the bluetooth kit to obtain power . Wish i had ran a switched live direct to the fusebox now .................... will get round to it sooner or later im sure :(

If you want the easy option get one of these - autoleads 06 sense this creates a switched live feed without having to source it at the fuse box, I used it and it is doing the job well

Does anyone know if the SOT-076 will also work for the Bury CC9060?
