i have designs on removing this badge and putting a blank colour coded plate in its place, inspection of the handle make it look quite tricky tho.

should have a chance to have a crack at this this weekend.

I think it would only look good on black cars. If you colour code it any other colour - red, yellow, silver etc - it would look a bit plastic and stupid IMO. But painting it gloss back would be a nice touch on a black car.

I'm sure it's not that hard to remove. Might be worth investing in a spare though to play with.

its one of the first things i thought of (maybe my chance to be the first to do a mod). but i have had a really good look at the handle and it looks tricky to replace the handle, it may be a case of removing the 's' badge and putting a custom fitted blanking plate over the top.

Don't just fit a plate over the top, please! It will look like you have done exactly that. It wont look smoothed, it will just look odd with a random plate but still a cut out.

If you have a black car, remove the badge and colour code it.
If you have any other car, leave it alone.
If you want to get extreme, debadge and smooth the boot properly.

Do it right or don't do it at all, IMO :)

i think you misunderstand what i mean, from the outside it would be a smooth single section colour coded.

i think im gonna see how much a new handle is and play around with it from there.

So the entire boot will be smooth, with no sign that there was ever a badge there? If so, good plan :)

If you mean just replacing the S with a blank plate that still acts as a handle... no thanks.

Robdon has painted his 'S' logo on bonnett and boot with some plastic spray paint. Looks very good. If you do a search you should find it, as well as a guide. He has his own website and is also a member on here.
