fan problems?HELP NEEDED!

HI I RESENTLY POSTED UP A THREAD ABOUT MY GTI 2.0LTR 8V over heating and turned out the head gasket was on its way out.

the head gasket has been done now and the car is driving fine and temp stays fine whilst being driven at 30mph + but the fan has stopped working so as soon as i stop at traffic lights or driving slow in traffic the temp rises rite up.

ive tried bridging the rad switch and that still did not wrk,ive tried testing the plug in the back of the fan and theres no power to it and the same with the rad switch plug and the fuse is fine in the fuse box,does any1 know wat else it could possibly be as its realy doin my head in now.

any help would be fantastic

if you've bridged the rad switch. and the fan hasnt come on then there must be a power problem some where. it should come on.

yeah i thought that but it could be anywhere.
i dont know where to look
any ideas?

i no on my golf that there was a few links round the engine bay. could look for loose conection.. or the terminals need cleaning. pull all the plugs off and clean them up. hope that helps best i can do dude

already bipassed the rad fan switch and still doesnt wrk.so its not that?

i know its daff but you checked the right fuse position? if you have and you got a volt meter check for power on the power side of the fuse pins. you'll know you have power at the start then?

yeah good point ill give it a try.cheers m8.i need to sort it soon as cause i dont wana keep risking it and have the head gasket go again.
