AFter 2 or 3 visits to my local seat dealer, I think I've finally got a quote for new discs and pads on the front of my mk1 180 cupra. The dealer couldn't even tell me which discs n pads I needed even with my chassis number, but they now given me a quote of:

£52.50 for the pads
and £105.00 for 2 discs.

add vat and it totals approx £185

does this sound about right sorta price? I think its quite costly considering its parts only...thank f*ck i'm gonna do it at home n not pay labour aswell!

Have you had a quote from somebody like Bill @ Badger 5? Might be worth asking, just for comparison. Stick a post up in the Badger 5 forum section.

do they do standard parts to?

Yes. But, standard parts - pads especially - are often more expensive than better aftermarket kit. I saved a sizeable amount by having Ferodo pads on plain discs instead of Seat OE pads.
