Ok I've got a new Electric window motor for the drivers side to fit. Taking the old one out to check it was broke was a nightmare. The cables which control the window kept coming unravelled from the spool on the motor. Any tips to make this job easier??

With the whole regulator and motor unit still as one, remove the 3 screws on the old metal motor case and then slide it off. You can then wind the motor by hand to tension up the cables again and send the window carriers to the highest point. Mine did not unravell after this. Good luck
