right folks, i fitted a boost gauge and voltmeter in a pillar pod the other day and wired it through the dash mounted light switch. D idnt think i had any probs until the other night when i tried to put my full beam on constant and they didnt work. They work fine when i pull the stalk back to flash them, but im guessing that its something to do with fiddling about with the headlight switch as it came loose on the back when i was plumbing the wires in. Anyone had a problem like this before or know if it just the stalk thats now dodgy. Hope ive explained this ok cos its headwork trying to write it (p.s if it turns out to be a fuse then il shoot myself lol). cheers all. On a happier note, fitted my new 19's on the car last night which cheered me up, but think il leave trying to be colin mcrae in the dark country lanes till i can see where im going again :p

yea i agree mate and thats whats worrying me. Il get cruise control if the stalk is broken in some way, but dont really buy that yet. more important stuff first. Cant be without full beam though!! Strange that its gone after ive fitted the gauges though and im not a muppet with a soldering iron so pretty sure i aint cooked something. Puzzled!!

you have to post ten times before you can PM mate. I still aint changed it mate have the new stalk in the house and it must be at fault because when i pull the stalk back it works fine but push it forward for constant full beam and nothing. Only cost me £8 for a new stalk off ebay but ive got HID's now and never use my full beam. I will update this when i do change the stalk but got a new steering wheel and want to check the bolts holding the steering wheel as they feel a little loose at the mo so want the time to do it all. Sorry cant help further

PS is yours the exact same problem?

Mines the same problem. Picked the car up on Mon, theres a problem with the climated control/electric window switches. Read on here that the cause is probably the dimmer switch.

Then was out last night, went to use full beam and got the exact same problem as you. Full beam works when pull stalk towards you, but not when permanantly on (away).

Gonna fix the dimmer switch first. Need to find out what part no. i need tho. Then see if i can fix the full beam.
