Getting Cupra Today - No Longer..

was going to pick up my new cupra today, josh's old one - AM04 turbo etc, was really excited just got a call from blandy, the current owner to say that he just put his foot down up a hill (i think thats what he said?) and the car "shuddered" - not what i wanted to hear! I dont want to go and pick up a faulty car! Its now going into the garage but i cant see it being sorted on a sunday morning, and to top it all off the weather here is complete sh*te , all in all a crap bank holiday weekend ahead of me - and im still without a car

You'll be hard pushed to find anywhere with a coilpack tho on a bank holiday sunday. I'd take hooch's offer up and give him some xtra cash.

How far away are you mate, i live in Cambs, 20 minutes south of Peterborough, i'm off to a meet this afternoon in St. Ives and will be leaving at 1.30

The point is.... I have a spare coilpack, brand new never used, for occasions such as this.

sorry for not replying, i left about a minute after you left a message on here. picked it up thinking it was just a coilpack, just vagcom'd it and its come up with 17645, 17646, 17647 and 17648 - open circuit injectors or something? Im pretty jarred off to be honest but im just hoping its not going to cost me a shed load to fix, runs and sounds like a V8 at the moment with hardly any power. Anyone got any ideas?

If you could get the car up to bedford i can take a good look over it. I keep loads of spare bits on stock inc coils. Im popping in the shop in about an hour for a few hours and i dont mind checking it over?

thanks for the offer alex, but im over an hour and a half away now in Norfolk - i dont really want to drive it much further! Its getting looked at tommorow by my local VW specialist (not dealers) and if still no joy i may have to bring it somewhere abit more specialised like yourselves

just spoke to the original owner josh, he says the characteristics of this problem sounds very much like coilpacks despite the codes that are displaying? He said the car should sound like a scooby and have no boost! So will have to wait till tommorow till i can get some coilpacks - are there any "upgraded" ones i can get or that anyone would recommend?
