SEAT UK seem unable to source a wheelhub

My car is nearly fully repaired, and I could have had it back by now if only my garage could get hold of a new wheel hub for my car! The one they sent originally is slightly too small and they promised to rectify this the following day. Couple days and phone calls by my garage to SEAT and we find out they havent even got any in their warehouse

Surely it cant be that hard to get me such a simple part, especially seeing as surely its shared with VW's and Skoda's!

Hopefully they will sort it soon. Im just scared that I will be months without a car like some renault clio owners

any then poor some unleaded into a glass bottle, put a rag in the top light it and throw at his garage that should go some way to rectifying the problem.

If they're shared with cars in the VW and Skoda range have they tried those dealers? Or how about Euro Car Parts?

Yeah I am thinking that. Gonna go visit the garage again on tuesday to speak to the guy. Hopefully they will have made some progress in getting the part.

Its even worse now that I bought a new headunit and speakers today, and I really want to install them into my car but cant

If your car has been at a dealers waiting for parts for a while make sure you give it a good check over for damage, they park them with inches between them and let the trainees use them to go up the shops and get biscuits for tea brake

Alledgedly... Only make allegations like this on a public forum if you can prove them...

Well thats one thing I wont have to worry about as my car in its current state is undriveable, and its been up on the ramp and hasnt moved since I originally bought the car in

Have also heard alot of stories about trainees/apprentices taking peoples cars out

Not sure that firebombing the garage will help that much!!!
He could end up torcing his own car!!

so another day tomorrow and I hope to hear some good news. Gonna make some phonecalls myself and see if I cannot source a wheelhub.

pretty sure the hubs are valeo any way, so most motor factors will be able to source.
