The Leon rear axle beam is a torsion bar of sorts, but it falls a long way short of providing sports suspension anti-roll.
It still seems better then the Golf i had previously though!! Then again that wouldnt be hard would it. haha. So is the general opinion to go for uprated front and rear ARB's. Ive got a lower S3 brace but when i put that in i overtightened the bolt and now it wont go tight. Cant get the old one out of the suspension arm. Anyone any ideas. Sorry to go off subject

You didn't mention a short shift...Edit: oh, and Seat Sport gearknob is a good one, too.

I was actually contemplating selling my s/s and gearknob - but as I might be keeping the car a while longer (house sale has just fallen through) I don't think i could revert back to std just yet!

I uprated the suspension to Koni FSD's wrapped in Eibach springs, Neuspeed 22mm front and 25mm rear (on middle setting) ARB's, just had the Quife diff fitted, it finally handles like I want it to, worlds apart from the sloppy, boat like standard setup

It took me a long while to get the suspension how I wanted it but I always wished I had done it sooner........
My set up was without the Quaife ATB but larger ARB's and Coilovers (so possibly slightly stiffer) and once complete the car was in a different league handling wise.
Must admit I did love letting Civic Type-R's etc follow me into a roundabouts and watch the driver behind suddenly think OMG
How easy are the ARB's to fit, could i do it at home? I've fitted a couple of coilovers to various cars so the KONI FSD's should be fine.
Rear is a piece of Cake, the Neuspeed one clips to the rear beam (torsion bar) then you swing the ARB into position, drill some holes for the drop links, bolt the drop links on, bolt the ARB to the drop link
You don't have to drill holes! the Neuspeed droplinks fit to shocker bottom bolts.
You need to remember to get your wheels re-aligned (pref 4 wheel) after doing the front ARB.

If i've got to drop the subframe then i'd rather get it done properly, i'll do the Koni FSD's myself but the ARB's i'll leave to the people that know i think.
