Hi, have owned the cupra 1 year now and have had a pipercross viper on it 10 months- i had it connected to the standerd intake from the arch all the time... since today ive took it out. i couldn't believe when a took the pipe out the arch how small it went!! about a 2"x1" oval! p***take. me CAI now goes down to the arch near the intercooler-the noise it makes now both induction and dv is 10 times better-just needed tell someone. :D

This is a cheap and easy mod which I have been tempted to do now for a long time, but I'm convinced that the reason everyone has problems with MAF's is because of their modded intakes. I'm on 65k now on original - some people are replacing them every few months. (Hope thats not tempting fate now!)

Arite andy ;)

My home made CAI will be louder because of the vented wing.

Dolf, The maf's have been a known problem for years and have nothing to do with filters. If it does get covered in oil/dirt etc all you need to do is remove it then clean it with electrical solvent. Saying that my filter is a dry Apexi one so i wouldn't have any issues with oil anyway!:D
