hi guys, im gunna hardwire my sat nav power lead tonight. Looked at some threads and decided on cig lighter for power. 1 thing tho, does any1 know off top of their head what fuse the cig lighter has.

When you take the panel off the fuse box cover it should have a guide to which fuse is which on the back of it. If that doesn't help, the manual should have some info about it in.

You should do what I did & get a 4 in 1 power socket. Whip off the end, wire it to power block under dash & then locate in the cubby hole to the left of the drivers knee.

This gives you 4 sockets to use, and you wont need to fuse anything as the items you plug into it will have their own fused "male" sockets.

I hardwired my sat Nav & Road angel & have 2 free for future investments......

hi guys, changed ma mind guna wire it to headunit power cos cig lighter always on. does any1 know which colour is live and which is switching live to the head unit

TBH i'd go with what ChrisUK suggested...if you go via the Stereo, and then it pop's the fuse you'll loose the stereo as well as your SatNav...PITA!!

It's not that difficult to do, infact it's probably easier to go via the power board than take the headunit out & then mess about with the loom.

I'm fairly sure Chris put up some pic's of his install which will assist with yours.

hi guys, didnt go well last night! used a guide form ice cavern and got down to the power distribution block! the electrics wouldnt of been hard but there was no way i could get the lead up to behind the dash without hole drilling! lol, given it up for now but i have day off next monday so mite try again! and this time mite try chrises sugestion!
