Servicing a LCR question...?

Hi all.

I would post this in the Servicing Section but no one seems to visit that and it looks like a graveyard to me.:(

Anyways, I have read enough topics to see that most SEAT dealers seem to be incompetent, overcharge and generally rude or haven't a clue so when I come to purchase my LCR I would rather take it to a good VAG specialist to have it serviced. Two questions:-

1. If I take it to a VAG specialist, do they still get to stamp the servicing book alas my FSH remains alive? Also, I assume this means I cannot say my car had FSSH when I come to sell it (I know I haven't brought it yet but I like to plan for the future).

2. Where is my nearest VAG specialist if I am based in West Bromwich in the West Midlands?

Cheers to all who can help - Cobraman2007:clap:

yes you cant say it has FSSH (full seat service history)but can say FSH (full service history)

yes they still stamp the book, (but remind them).

you even keep your warranty with seat if applicable. (as long as they are VAT registered, complete service schedule work. and i think use genuine parts?

Don't worry about not being able to say Full 'Seat' Service History. I think most potential buyers would be happy if you said you didn't have it serviced at Seat as you didn't trust their ability, so you took it to an independent specialist instead.

Thanks for the answers people - much appreciated as always.

Cannock is about 30 minutes away from me but of course in the LCR it will be around 10 minutes away from me.:ban:

I was expecting an answer such as board a plane, go through East Germany until you reach the Audi Servicing Centre in West Germany.

Did a quick search myself through Google and found these guys...

http://www.vwrescue.co.uk

I phoned them up and asked some basic questions and they seem to be on the ball. They even said they had a LCR in at the moment and they said I could come down to see how they change the coilpacks as this was something I asked about. They seem to offer good prices per their website and they are only 15 minutes away from me.

Must visit them soon.

Cheers - Cobraman
