Mirrors??

Anyone got any bright ideas to change the mirrors on a mk4??

I think they poke out way to much, and noticed yesterday when i folded them in down the ghetto (where i have to park for uni) that with them folded in the car looked a huge amount fatter!

lol, when i bought the ibiza i thought the wing mirrors didnt stick out much at all! especially coz of the curved body work, it doesnt stick out very much at all!

oddly enough i've just mailed someone about some blanking plates

could imagine it would be a pain for mot's and general driving must be some dinky after market 1's out there that will fit?

i probably wont run the blanking plates everyday...but put them on for shows??

i was almost considering some smoothed dtm mirrors, but that would ruin the oem+ feel.... maybe i can shorten the ones i have like the ford boys do

Mate put mx-5 mirrors on his corrado, or bike style mirrors look good too...

i'm gunna start mooching at different cars to see which ones have shorter mirrors mx5 might be a start

golf passat's polo ect will fit tho!

i've been looking at new polo ones with the built in side repeator...means i can smooth my wings then

how about modding some stumpy arosa/lupo ones if you want to stay oem+

the wirring wold need to be bodged to get the indicator in the new polo wing mirrors to work tho! but smoothing the indicator would look good

Am i wrong in thinking they'd operate the same mounting system?

i can get LHD ones quite easily, so yeah run a stubby both sides
