Ever Since i bought the FR i had really bad condesation in the passenger side head light, so i did a little search of the forum and found a way to solve it. So last Monday I had this . . . .

The search brought up that it was recommended to remove the light cover from the back of the light and drill some holes in it, so that's what i did . . . .

After doing that i left it to see what happened. A couple of days later my condensation problem was solved . . .

I haven't had any problems since!!

Thanks to the guys who originally posted this info up, it was great advice!!!

My drivers side H/L is always steamed up and has been replaced under warranty once already, the pass side one never steams up tho!!! Very annoying, my mate had the same prob on his but since fitting a hid kit the problem has gone away lol, expensive way to fix it, but its worked! :)

Think im gonna try drilling the covers and filling with silica gel b4 I try that option. Cars goin bak to dealers in couple of weeks to get a few issues sorted b4 warranty runs out so mayb get them to change it again!

Mine steam up also.
Does anyone have problems with the tail lights?
I think I'm going to go to the dealers and have them all replaced under warranty.
The thing is the cars only a couple of months old so whats to sop it happening again?

Simon34 - When i searched 2 weeks ago it was you that i got the information off, couldn't remember when i was writing the post last nite, so thanks!!

Nathwar - I think the holes face down, i drilled them from the top anyway!

I was really shocked how bad it got but i don't get it anywhere else in the lights on the car. it had been like it was from when i bought it 2 moths ago, i mentioned it at the time to the dealer and he said that as it had been standing for a bit that it would soon clear when in use!

In my ibiza the passenger side rear light always had condensation problems, had it replaced under warranty and never had the problem since.

Picked up my new leon last month and saw condensation on the bottom of both headlights, about an inch high.

I wasnt surprised but I mentioned it to the dealer incase it got worse. They brought out a chart of how bad the condensation must be before they will replace under warranty. Anything below half the height of the light is acceptable apparently, above and they will replace it. Luckily mine went after the first few days (had sidelights on when driving) and never came back(touch wood).

My front lamps were drilled by the dealer before it was collected, so they're fine, but my back ones love to steam up. I've decided I don't like the Cupra lamps so I'm buying some 1.2 ones. When I fit them, I'll look into how to solve the issue :)
