Front fogs

Hi guys. I'm driving the 1.9 TDI Reference, and was wondering how easy it would be to fit front fogs. Would this be straight forward, or not as easy as it sounds? Is the wiring already there?

Hi Bondiblu,

No wires pre-mounted ... and depending on the model year of your Altea, early ones (my05) might even require a different ECU.

And you need OBD to activate the foglights within the central electronics ECU [09] Byte 00 bit 0 switch to "on"

Hi, from sounds of it, it is not that easy to do and costly!!

.... not really .... just busy collecting infos about the 5P ... like I mentioned somewhere before, I'm Mod in the German SEAT-Forum ... which is definitely the best in our country, when it comes to ALTEA/TOLEDO 5P ... and this role provides me with lots and lots of knowledge even our dealers can be surprised with ...

Yeah, i just wondered and then felt bad about saying you designed them due to the wet window problem, blame that on the apprentice's.

You seem to have them well figured out!! Your knowledge will be called on in future i think when i get cash together and change things or when something breaks?
