Got a guy who does nitrous kits and just wondering if anyone has ever had one or seen one on a leon cupra or above before,

Some are surprisingly open to the idea! I had a kit lined up for the Celica before I sold it, and Greenlight quoted me something like £95 to cover that and a rear bumper lip I wanted to add too. That was for a 75bhp shot
I have had nitrous installed 2 years now and the engine has never missed a beat. It was installed professionally and the kit is probably the best on the market. It has proven to be very reliable and effective.
The worst thing you can do with nitrous is buy a cheap kit and get it installed by monkeys. I have spent £2k on my nitrous setup and 2 yrs down the line its still going strong. Im in no doubts if i had bought a cheaper kit and got it fitted by a mate, my engine would be in pieces by now.
A progressive controller is an absoloute must IMO. Fire in a direct hit, even a 50bhp shot at too low an rpm or even directly with no build time, is going to cause dramas.
I have 1 of the quickest ''known'' LCR's in the country, if not the quickest, and thats all to do with the nitrous. I have proven in the past a 50bhp shot with a bottle pressure of 900psi is good for 65bhp/110lbft. Have direct comparison graphs to prove this
Off of nitrous i estimate my power at around 300-305bhp with this hybrid. Everyone has told me i should have lost a rod by now, but the engine keeps going and going and going
350bhp/350lbft limit so im reliably told
Ive already had readings of 415lbft on standard components Im sure its on the wrong side of 350bhp also So yes i can thouroughly reccomend it

75bhp is the maximum I would go, and I'd be careful with that even. Bear in mind a 75bhp jet is likely to get you closer to 90bhp if not more of an increase, and that's a big jump, so make sure without any doubt that you get a progressive controller and get it well set up.
Personally, on a turbo'd car that's otherwise near-standard, I'd only go as high as 50bhp jets with a progressive controller.

So does having nitros not play games with the map? I mean the map is producing x amount of power and then bang nitros gives you more so doesnt ecu say limp mode???

Doesn't have an effect on turbo at all as its injected just before throttle body, ie way after its been through turbo and intercooler. Limp mode only happens when ecu senses overboosts, nitrous doesn't do that.
Wouldn't put 75bhp jetting on personally as you would probably get a 90-95bhp gain from it along with 130-150lbft of additional torque.
The only horror stories you hear about nitrous are from the cheap kits and poor installation, along with too high jetting for car.
People think 50bhp jetting = 50bhp

Mitchy I notice that in that post from couple years back you were changing back to tesco's? Did you do that and how did it go? Only ask as i was with them untill they said had no more room to list my mods on their pc's so i wasnt covered! Ive got 5 yrs no claims 22 and they wanted £1000 im with Greenlight now.

75bhp jetting on yours will be fine if its on a controller. If your remapped, that will be your limit i would think. (220+90ish= 310ish) However its not the power, its the torque you need to watch as 75bhp jetting will give 130+lbft gains in torque. Along with remap torque, you would be pushing a high amount.
Make sure its a wet kit, ie an independant fuel source instead of relying on ecu for adaptation. Make sure you buy a progressive controller also. (not cheap at £300ish + labour to fit £200ish) but well worth it.
Further reccomendations and ''essential'' components IMO is a bottle heater, bottle gauge, pressure relief valve, and an upgrade to an 11lb bottle. In the winter months when its cold, your bottle may only be at 450psi meaning your 50bhp jetting might only produce 25bhp. The only way to get good power is by manipulating the bottle pressure, the only way you can do this is through heat. Pressure relief valve for obvious reasons, although wizards bottles have them as standard. Gauge obviously to keep an eye on pressures, and realistically you need the large 11lb bottle otherwise you'll be refilling every 2 mins.
Gets costly, so that kit you've seen for £500, soon works out to be £2k when you bring in the other needed parts and labour charges. Labour alone for my install was around £600.
