Well touch wood i havent had a problem with my clutch pedel on either, Nope 100% wanted a red one this time, I had to wait about 2 months for mine. I think the best thing to do could be what i done find some one on here that is looking to sell theres fairly soon and send them a pm showing your interest and get the cash together then as soon as there ready to sell you can go along with the cash! Least then you will know abit of the cars history and 9 out of 10 times it has been treated better than the wife/husbund, With it being brought from a owners club! Well thats what i done and proberly will carry on buying my cars from owners clubs!

Just as a rough guide i payed 6k for mine, 31k totally standard bar spacers and LCR front splitter and was immaculate inside and out. Oh and had it deliverd from Bristol to Oxford FOC, Cant be bad! :D

yeah i want a mint one, hoping to pick up a cupra for about 4-5k but remeber i'm looking to buy in september time. so might be a bit cheaper by then!, i know it's a crap time of year to buy cars, but need to wait till me b-day so i can actually afford to insure it! but seen as the cupra is 2 insurance groups lower than the R ill probably go for that, more chance of getting a yellow one as well. but ill defo keep a check on who's selling from scn as yeah i can trust them over people i don't know at all! e.g. traders!

I havent declerd all my mods as some of them wasnt on there when i insured it, But will be calling them in the near future to top up my insureance, That was with 2 accidents 2 years no claims.

Declare them, its not worth it if you have a bump cos they will find out.

Shop around for insurance, I find moneysupermarket, confused and all those sites give you far too high premiums, Go to places individually ;)

Thats abit harsh! The train thing i mean. Could have been worse tho i mean if the train had been 2ft from your window! lol. I put my sister on my policy and it brought it down 200 quid. Even tho she will NEVER drive my car. Keep searching mate and play one company off the other ;)

if you dont declare your points and you have a prang.....you will have to show your license and it stands a chance they could void the policy. not good.

well i've declared my points on my cupra sport and insurance is 1,900! and thats my limit can't afford any more! but yeah ill be 19 when i pick a mk3, and my quotes without the points are cgeaper than my cupra sport! so i reckon it'll be well over 2 grand for a mk3. but ill just have to save some extra money and ring round.
as for the train crossing, yeah it was ridiculous, sooo ridiculous that my insurance company could'nt find the specific name for what i had done, so that had to put it down as something else! (no idea what) but it was the closest thing to it. but it was in my yellow cupra sport, with a few mods, so i did attract attention from the police. they just hate young drivers. plus i was 17 at the time so i probably looked young in it as well.

Have you tried getting a quote from elephant or admiral?

They have always been the cheapest for me. Get a quote online for a 10 month policy. Try adding your mum or sister to your insurance to bring it down.

yeah i will, i'm definatley adding my mum to it, as it brings it down a heck of a lot. but ill probably wait till nearer the time before getting quotes as the'll be pretty irrelevent in 6 months time, but at the moment i've just got to start saving. i might buy one in the summer if i've got enough money, then ill keep it in the garage untill my 19th b-day and insure it then. also ill be selling my cupra sport, so can use the money from that to pay insurance for a year! should work out fine if i work enough!

well I bought my seat sport suspension kit from a guy who had an R. He had bought the kit from badger5 and told me how much better it was than the R setup.

You can clearly see bilstein written on the shocks so you could just have a look at yours..
