An illusion?
Car looks higher due to lower tyre profile, but is really just 4,5mm higher??

To get the "right" look with 19s you need to go lower than with smaller rims.

I suspect 15-20mm will do the trick.

what suspension is on your cupra r as i would like to fit 19"s and uprated suspension to my 51 plate cupra?
also how did you guys get the images up as i always seem to get the red x on my post

just got standard suspension at the mo but looking to change thats why i was asking if anyone else has changed their suspension on 19's and how it affected the harshness of the ride cos its pretty harsh hitting potholes at the moment dont want to damage my wheels.was gonna go for the koni fsd's/eibach cos apparently they are less crashy but dont really lower the car that much maybe 15mm at most but should improve the ride.
to upload the pic use a host site such as photopic.net.upload image then click on the image, copy the url and paste into the 'insert image' option at the top of the thread u are writing.this should then work.

Err Standard tdi shocks with Cupra springs !! Orginally an S spec car !!!

I thought that - looks lower than a std leon for sure, but not lower than a normal Cupra.

Looks good though, stealth lowering!

Ride quality is obviously not as good, but scarily nimble round the twisty stuff. Depends what you use it for. I went for 18's for a few reasons, cost being one of them. You can go for big rims, and loooow without scrubbage, dont let anyone tell you you cant. And yes the ride quality is not as good, but you get acustomed to it.

Basically, the PRO's far outweigh the CON's.... bo BIG, go LOW :D :D

Oh, and if you want it to look lower than it is, 20mm spacers work a treat on the rear. Just make sure you buy Hubcentric jobbies and decent 20mm extra extended bolts. Brings the Wheels right out to the arch and makes it look a lot nicer:

.... my 20VT lowered 80mm (ish) on my 18's, much better 40mm wider :)
