Dose anybody know how to remove the n/s headlamp, as mine has started to mist up. I have tried the dealers but as usual they don't want to know. Is it also possible to remove the lens from the light unit with out cracking the plastic lens, as I would like to re-seal the unit with some sealer to stop water from getting in ?.

IIRC there's a mod for this problem - something to do with drilling a small hole in the headlight housing. Do a search youll find loads of threads on this issue.

I did drill a two mm hole in the inside of the light, but it still steams up . This dose not work on my light as there is water on the inside at the bottom, so all it dose is steam up.

Not sure but it maybe a bumper off to remove the headlights - im sure someone will come along laters to confirm this. Do you thing it may be worth drilling another hole where the water is to?

its bumper off to access 2 scres on each headlight and then just the two you can see on the front panel when you open the bonnet

remove the rear cover, blast a hair dryer in there and refit the cover once it is all dry

drilling holes in the rear cover helps to keep the mist from forming but will not get rid of mist that is already there

I know cos I've tried it all

get it dry then drill the covers, one or two small holes is fine otherwise water will go in the holes then refit the covers

job done

remove the lights , remove the backs , stick them in the hot press overnight and replace backs in the hot press and reinstall

ps..make sure the seal inside the rear bit is 100%

ive had them changed before and changing them isnt going to change anything as the new 1's will simply eventually do the same things and the job they done on putting my !EASY! bumper back on  !

i had bad steaming up of my headlights. the drivers side one was literally running water. i drilled s**t loads of holes in the back of my lights, upgraded the bulbs to some (illegal ) bulbs but they are much hotter. and by the time it can to taking back for them being replaced, it had almost dried out completed. i tried to hair drier thing. works for literally a few hours.

slightly off topic - anyone know how to remove the rear lights? the outside ones are easy but the ones in the boot, I just can't figure out!
