Thanks folks, its blatantly obvious neither me or m0rk are journalists. But what we have written has come from our combined experience with the car. We tried to be as unbiased as we could be, in respect to the fact we do represent a SEAT fan website. I'll remind you though, we are neither paid or financed by SEAT UK.

For us this was a day off from our usual 9 to 5 jobs, and we got to share some of that experience with you lot. :)

Unlike most car journo's we haven't driven every car out there in lots of different environments. It was simply down to our evaluation of the car on the day.

Its not in anyway meant to sway opinion, you can take it as it comes. But if you get the opportunity have a go in one. :)

Remember to find a nice quick unrestricted B-road ;)

Nice review! :)

I must say that the car does look very bland in the black - did it look that way in the flesh or is it just the camera giving that impression? The yellow definitely seems to highlight the lines of the car a lot more IMO.

Hard car to photograph, generally because of how reflective black is, it absorbs a lot of light too. I've ordered it in Black. It looks better outside than it did when I saw it at Autosport.

Bland suits me fine though, if it stops some one from breaking my front door for my keys, all the better in my eyes if it doesn't stand out.

Good write up chaps. Did you gt the Revo trial done? :cartman:

How gutted am I though, if that's the Dakota at Sherwood Park, it's about 5mins from my house. You could've popped in for a cuppa!

[brokenrecord]Did you look at the turbo plate?[/brokenrecord]

I was tempted to call you up, but forgot afterwards.

couldn't get at the turbo plate - the brake reservoir is in the way, but I really did try to get at it.

LHD cars would walk it

No bother, if you didn't get the turbo plate, I wouldn't have let you in anyway :D

If only we'd had the Notts/Derby meet at Dakota... I guess they put you up the night before?

No, noticeable less shove than an LCR, but it has revs instead. I think that's how they've got round the torque steer complaints

@ Feel, no - but it's only an hour away from each of us anyway

any interior pics guys, i am still harping on about the pedals again LOL, good review I always say your better with a man off the street who has a rough idea about cars rather than watch someone cane the arse out of it on a track, do they give you press packs? I think the Cupra sits high and was amazed to read its dropped already compared to the FR.

nice pictures and test, but i still find the cupra to soft ,not hard-core enough....and the the brakes can work well but in my opinion they are not so cool as the brembos........i hope that there will be a cupra R model with 4pots brakes and more agressive body styling
and while tehy are at it 4x4 please

call that a review?
where's the 0-60 test against a 2 door super mini?
where's the track race against a diesel ?
where's the "lets race a light aircraft/rockclimber/downhill mtb 'er/race across a lake",to derby and back"?
why the do people want the word brembo?just as a design thing?rather than a "lets not fooking die today" thing?

where's the "jase this turbo will replace your shagged k03's"?

cheers dont know how i missed them, no dead pedal change then, the gear knob doesn't look that diff to the FR one and it is uncomfy, changing mine next month.may ask for a wee demo, but then these lead to bad things, cant change the car again.

yeah, there's a dead pedal, it's just not metal
