They are helping me find out whats wrong with the car and i live 120 miles away so hard for me to get down there

I just wanted other people to know how helpful they have been with me every time i have had problems with my car!

LOL and no you can't fix a Seat.......Seat themselves don't even know what they're doing half the time!

Hey,

I know i havent been on much for the last six months really

They havent got my car, i have it, i am kind of being talked through and doing trial and error kind of things, you know?

Its too expensive going to a dealer

yeah i know exactly what you mean! It took me god knows how long to find out what a 'camshaft positioning sensor' was. Seat told me there's no such thing! Then they wanna charge me loads just to check the car? not good at all! Then a member on here (Paul - cheers mate) knew what it was and sent it out to me! ;)

I know its so frustrating as they are just too sensitive for their own good! I great that they pick up on something that isnt quite right but its all the time

I have a nice lot of power sitting there and i just dont use it

Have you vag-com'd it yourself?

Yeah we have had it on VAG COM a couple of times when the light has been on and got these codes:-

16684 Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected - Intermittent

16685 Cyl.1 Misfire Detected - Intermittent

17536 Fuel Trim: (Mult) Bank1: System too Lean

We have also done some logs and it doesnt appear to be the MAF! I have got some new plugs to fit and try out but the light went out this morning so not sure what to do now

I also know people would think coilpacks but im not going to spend loads until i know its that for sure

swap coil 1 with another one, if it comes back on the cylinder you just changed it too you know its the coil, still coming back on cylinder 1 would mean new spark plug

i would try that before replacing all 4 plugs - will pinpoint the missfire problem

it does say intermittent tho, so you might have to drive it for a bit for it to happen again

Have you tried changing the 1st coil pack then? How else are you going to know it's a coil pack for sure without trying?! You don't need to change all 4 just borrow one and change the one where the misfire is.

****ed coils/plugs and possibly boost leak/stuffed lambda to me. Trial and error diy stuff, no need to drive 150miles for imo.
