LCR - TCS help B 4 Thursday........

My car is going into the dealer (again) this thursday for some warranty work (fixing stuff they :censored: up, when fixing something else!!! after having it before that to fix my original problem - you get the picture!! ).

I have had a problem with the traction control when going over bumps at speed. i.e. on the motorway coming home tonight, I drove over a slight bump in the road (and it was not much) and the TCS light flashed at me and the car jolted at about 70 mph!!!!

It seems to be a bit fiece on corners too sometimes, even when driving slow.

It seems to have been happening from around the time I had my new front pads fitted (about 4 weeks ago).

Has anyone else had a similar problem? If so can you let me know what it was.

Help appreciated.

Cheers

blimey, i hope they get that sorted. As far as TCS is concerned it works in conjunction with the brakes to assist in the front wheels finding traction. Now picture this, if you are at speed an the TCS light is flashing, the car maybe applying the brakes, Err, how dangerous?? Even by going round a corner, could have disasterous outcome..

the sensor maybe dirty giving a false reading but also you may have a hose that is loose as mine did this just before a hose popped off

I had my TC light on my ibiza flashing at 70mph when the roads were greacy once, coming off an island, change into 4th and the car starts to spin up and slide accross the road. scared the **** out of me aswell, but think it may have been down to only having about 2.5mm of tread on the front wheels at the time.

I know it was not a nice feeling!!!!

Its going in tomorrow for warranty work not associated with this TCS fault, I just thought i'd mention it to them whilst they had it for a few days!! - I feel like saying keep it til its sorted and as I have a courtesy car i'll keep that til its done ;)

The problem is getting a little worse now and seems to be asociated more with the front right wheel, i'll tell them tomorrow and when it's all sorted (i hope) i'll let you know what the problem was.

Cheers all for your replies
