I'm going to ask a daft question, but has anyone tried the 19" CURVED blade (VM23), since that is what SEAT fitted to the car in the first place?

The Bosch 21/19AS pack of conventional blades, with the curved passenger side one, fits perfectly.

Simon.

i looked in the flipchart in halfords, but they don't even list a rear wiper for the leon?!

^^ tis a good question. Anyone got an answer?

I'm looking at replacing my blades as they are smearing badly.

EDIT: also, what about the:
Valeo - VM106 : Silencio SPECIFIC FIT FULL SPOILER Wiper Blade 21"

I worked out that speeding.co.uk are actually a few pence cheaper than wiperblades.co.uk, but they never seem to have both of them in stock at the same time.

So, anyone any idea about the curved blades and the blades with a spoiler? Better than just the flat ones?

TIA

EDIT: don't worry. Spoke to both wiperblades.co.uk & speeding.co.uk and both said that the UM661 & UM621 blades are the best ones to go for the Leon. Ordered with wiperblades.co.uk as they'll get them to me by Sat (speeding.co.uk said Monday).

Aero Wipers

Can anybody advise?

Ordered a set of Bosch A099S Aerotwin wipers from wiperblades.co.uk

The website specified these as suitable for a Seat Leon 2005 (i.e. my car)

This seems to be the case as the box comes printed with -

'Seat Leon [LP1] 07.05' on the back.

They are both 650mm/26" in length.

Now as the old wipers have the old fashioned arms, the first thing I've noticed is that they obviously won't attach!

Does anybody know where I can get the correct arms from? I've asked the website I bought them off, but no reply yet, so thought I'd try you guys.

I think they are possibly the same as on a Passat? Perhaps a VW dealer then?

My old aero wipers started missing large chunks of the screen on the drivers side as it wiped down :(

Chucked the new ones on & it's still missing a simlar chunk (although slightly less) - any ideas?

Starting to bug me :(

After using the Valeo ones for a few days I'm impressed. I do think they are better than the Bosch ones I had on before. It's a year since the Bosch aeros were new so I can't really give a subjective comparison. The Valeo wipers look slightly lighter in section than the Bosch and seem quieter. I'm glad to lose the 'Jeremy Beadle' large/small look.

The driver's side Bosch was appalling after 12 months and didn't clear the water that the passenger wiper left directly in the driver's eyeline.

The new Valeos only start to miss a little water at 120+

6 months on and the Valeos are still excellent. Far far better than the Bosch ones were. The wear indicators are starting to show, but no lack of performance from the blades. I'd buy these again

mkm250680, did you need to upgrade the arms from the standard Leon ones?

And what is the part number for wipers btw? Thanks.
