as i am 1 of the few with the pre facelift cupra i was thinkin something that looked like the cupra badge on the back of mk4 ibiza cupra, u know the squared spaced letterin, not the easist design but something that would look awsome if that badge was on the back as intend to do. i also wanted to know where u fed ur vacuum hose from the boost gauge slick as u have it in the dash already?

Wilksy, my gauges are DEFI.. electronically controlled, the boost tube feeds the brain in the engine bay the information and thats relayed to the gauge and controller unit in my centre alley console...

but in the custom dashes i will fabricate, i will wire the boost vacuum hose thou the dash (thou holes i cut into the dash itself behind the controls and etc) then leave the remaining hose tied up behind the dash for you to connect up to your engine bay. which i've been told is thou the hole that the airconditioning feeds thou...i think?

No rush mate. I'm sure everybody can wait until you're sorted. I'd rather have a good job than a quick job so take as long as you need :)

ok nice 1 slick im sure it will more obvious where to feed things once its time to strip my dash n plug it in.
as robm said a good job is better than a rush n i know i would be pretty pi##ed if there was anything wrong once installed.
so all work hugely appriciated and will look awsome once finished.

Slick i know im asking alot here but is it at all possible to put a slight angle on the gauge mount so it faces the driver more like in the Alfa's think that would give it the ultimate std look. Let me know when your done with the LCR dash please mate cheers.

Rikko, theres not alot of room behind the dash and to angle it is pushing it, but i can certainly look into it for you and if possible make a one off for you...

At the moment mate, still sorting the gauges and faces and the consoles themselves... once thats sorted i will start the fabricating, have a few issues of fixing to sort out on the dash, so that the console has all the fixings to fit without rattling and etc..

As i said, soon as the first batch are ready pictures will be posted and orders to be taken...and as RobM says, better to do a job properly than rush it...

hang on, hang on people, been a bit busy of late, the missus decided that she needed decorating done first and so i havent had any time or money to get dashes sorted, but now the decorating is near over, i can get back to them.

as i said, i will keep everyone posted, soon as i get near to completing them, i will post up, no doubt i will post up in progress pictures anyway!

I am def interested in doing this, i look forward to the finalised package and pictures

appreciate you doing this slick as of course this is in your own time mate, so happy to wait

what i would like to see is the finalised costs, wheres and whys and how we go about paying you etc, perhaps put it up on the first post on this thread or start a new group buy thread with all the final details to make things a little clearer for us as there are quite a few questions and posts on this thread now....perhaps a little confusing to new comers for this great offer :D

slick,

i'd love a 52mm version of the gauge you have (defi)

would i need to send you my centre console, or do you just make something which replaces the cup holder?

i'll go back and read the whole trhead when i've a spare hour :hide:

EDIT: standard LCR interior.

You cant get the DEFi in 52mm, thats the first thing there, only in 60mm...

I dont need anyone consoles till i finish the ones i have at the moment..

At the moment money is tight, and so is time (holiday with the missus in june)
So the consoles have taken abit of a back burner on things, but every spare moment i have i will push them forward...

Will keep everyone post, sorry for the time delay, but its not as straight forward when your customising...

Slick... I know it's been said 101 times before... but as far as I'm concerned there is no rush. We all want the best quality and we all appreciate that making other people things isn't the priority in your life, so whenever you're ready is fine :)

In the mean time, if anybody is desperate for a gauge, I'm sure they will be happy with a Nomad pillar or something similar until yours are ready :)
