Anyone know why the speedo stayed at 50 mph? is that what speed you was doing when it happened?

In most crashes at a half decent speed the speedo will just stay at the speed at point of impact. There will also be a small mark on the speedo face that will show what speed you were doing due to the needle hitting off it (its called needle slap).

Shame about the car mate but at least you got to walk away from it.
