If I knew exactly what changes need to be made in VAG-COM, I'd happily go out and test it on my car tonight. If it works, I'm more than happy to do the same on anybody elses car that aren't too far away from me in Southampton. Don't mind a little drive but don't fancy touring the country

But in any case, until I know what needs to be done and have tested it, I'm as much use as a reversible condom.

Been out and had another go at this tonight. Still no joy. The cable works fine on Vag com to get into 46 and the adaptation section, but no sign of any window closure etc.
The other software isn't connecting with the vagcom cable, so either i need a serial cable or buy the KVW100 unit. I think that unit will be the cheaper and easier option.

If you manage to suss it with VAG-com you're more than welcome to visit sunny Guildford for a weekend ;)

Spent 3 years of my life trying to get away from that area (i was in Odiham) so not in a rush to go back ;)
I don't think it's going to work unless i find someone with a serial cable. unlikely around here as there are very few SEAT's and the ones i do see don't seem to use this forum, so probably never heard of vagcom. Probably end up buying the KVW100 TBH:)

Surrey darling...
Nothing that wrong with Odiham if you like the middle of nowhere

Farnhams right on the door step and I love it there - have been drinking in the Cobbet for 10+ years now...

Think I'll go the KVW route too tbh... at least you end up with what you want and there's no guess work :D

this cannot be done on seats (maybe the can ones but not the dual K) using vagcom the thing flapper just posted is for audi and vw.

you need a old lappy with a serial cable and vds-pro

you read your code off the module 46 with vag com but it wont make any sense

for example, mine is 64 (as will most of your be). this is auto lock on and selective unlocking and no horn chirp.

enter that into the decoder and see what you get (it wont be 64)

I've bought the KVW100 now. Only £26 and no postage costs, so you can't grumble. Will put up a post when i've tried it out.
