Pleased as punch for DT. He has had too many, what I class as, top drives to be ignored. If Darren has to make it in Tourers in the same way he has in other makes like ASCAR and DTM, he has to start driving all the time and he has to be allowed to show what he can do.

Sad for Thommo though. But expected it. Only Gabrielle and Yvan are in contract and are to be retained.

Against someone as experienced as M*** N*** or Giovanardi will Darren really be able to compete against them though?

I think Darren proved last season he is every bit a competitor at the top level of touring cars. Bad luck with the car, or the team making mistakes like at Knockhill (being the prime example), were the contributing factors to him not being on the podium more often.
