Thinking of FR TDi

Hi i'm a noob on here so be gentle. Looking through the multitude of posts on the forum there seems to be a bit of doubt about how "tuneable" the 170bhp Tdi is.
I was hoping a remap would give well over 200bhp given that 888 have managed to get 200bhp out of a stock 150bhp Astra CDti. Does anyone know if there are problems with re-mapping this engine?
thanks for any replies

Yep, its to do with the particle filter that stops the diesel smoke in the exhaust.

Seems to get more power, means it burning more diesel which clogs the filter. :(

210bhp seems to be got, but not in the long term due to the blockages.

Its still under trial with lots of tuners, and AFAIK no one has yet release a decent power map for them.

Keep an eye on these forums, because i'm sure once it is released, it will be very popular :) :D

It seems to me that the re-mappers have to work harder to produce an efficient remap as the car is less tolerant of a lazy remap that dumps fuel intot he engine to chase that power at points in the curve.

Time will tell. I suspect the more skilled remappers will get good power eventually.
