Today I have taken a big step.... I have ordered my Leon FR TDi. Getting it in red, with the 18" alloys. Will be taking delivery on 3rd March. Can't wait!!!! Such a sexual car!!

How can your dealer be so specific re: delivery time? I ordered mine at the end of Dec and was told around 12 weeks, but wouldn't know a date until nearer the time.

It's because it hasnt been built to order, its a car which is going to come into group stock. I'm pretty sure its been built, and will be shipped over pretty soon. The guy i spoke to had a list of stock cars in front of him, so as long as he had what i was after I could have it by March 1st without a problem.
He's going to confirm mid Feb, so fingers crossed!
Same as mine. I ordered in Novemeber as was given January 8th as my delivery date. Mine is running a few days late but it wont be far off the original date. I'll setup some photos Stuart as my car car is exactly the same as yours except i'm having the alu interior & chrome tailgate strip. I'm also fitting chrome wing mirrors as i dont like the silver original ones
Thanks, that would be great. I'm also going to get the aluminium interior and the sill guards. Got the dealer to throw in a set of SEAT mats and give me a discount off the mudflaps when I bought it

Congratulations! I was lucky, car I wanted with exact spec had been built for group stock so had it within 3 weeks.
How much are SEAT ones? There are these custom built for the beast!!!!!

they look ok apart from the muckle bit of metal on the drivers one.OTT in my opinion, if you go to your local seat parts guy tap him for disc, espec for ordering multi items, i get 12% off all my orders now. going to order a new gear knob from them on thurs as i dont like the current FR one

Shouldnt be too hard to get discount, the dealers make 22% on the items, so can move to 10-12% discount without much of an issue. I've got to get myself the alu trim and sill guard soon, so will be looking at paying no more than £120 for the both of them (£135 total usually).
Anyone fancy trying to get a group buy discount on these, as I know a few people are after them??

Had a chat to him the other day, and he was well happy with his Leon. He was a bit jealous when i said I was getting an FR, but I said I'd let him have a look around it when I get it. Aren't I nice?!
