Right, due to serious varieties in the different bulb types, sizes and models etc, i would like to ask all owners of Mk4 ibizas, with HID conversion kits fitted, to answer the following questions.

I realise there are a couple of posts about bulbs already, however as i'm sure a few people are aware the answers are hidden within hundreds of posts.

So:

1) What HID kit did you buy? Where from?
2) Does the bulb hit the diffuser?
3) What is the length of the bulb (if known)?
4) Have you experienced any problems with the kit since fitting?

Any other info you feel is useful, would be greatly appreciated.

A search will aid your quest for information...

trust me m8, i have searched this for weeks now. On my previous topic "Mk4 bulb upgrades" we went into quite a lot of detail about HID's, but not many people with mk4's actually stated which kit they went for and whether the bulb hit the diffuser or not.

I thought i'd found my solution but it turns out the bulb was 50mm which is too long.

I know that the shortened versions will fit fine, but they are more money from the likes of HIDs4U etc.

I know this kit fits fine, but unfortionately as you can see they are no longer registered, therefore that kit is no longer available on ebay at present.

Any1 with a Mk4 and a hid kit and any useful comments would be awesome! :)

cheers chemical al...i am thinking about doing just that, but its about £240! and my original budget was £100 less than that! But its proving so hard to find a half decent kit on ebay which i know will definately fit. Thats one of the reasons for this topic. To see which makes of kits definately fit.

I bought a 6k , pilot HID kit, from HIS-4-you.co.uk. They have been in place for 18 months now. a perfect fit, no catching on the diffuser at all. If you want a quality kit buy a set of these.
