horny help again

no it's be done before but i've searched and no one ever posts the results of putting on a new horn, a want a replacment obviously but the ones in hellfrueds apparently don't work on my car(according to the :w4nk: in the shop v. helpful not) so what options are best, a old bammer one or order one of tinternet that fits

I fitted my old Fiesta with a twin air horn that cost about £15. It took about 30 mins to fit at the most and was great. The standard one sounded well cak. Mate of mine (who helped me fit it) also had one, but had space to keep the standard horn in too, which also sounded pretty good.

You get a small pump in the kit that you need to wire in through a relay and this supplies the air to the two horns. You might need to make a small bracket up to mount them on, but this can be done with a bit of aluminium in about 5 mins.

ive bought a audi a3 one but havent fitted it yet but they have got better horns than the gay :gay: ibiza one cant do roadrage with that bike horn lol

all of audi, skoda, vw and seat horns on the newer models should fit as they all use the similar style connectors

took a twin set off a skoda octavia today, £4
im done joining each + & - wires off both horns to each other and putting connectors on em off the car
ill have a go at fitting them tomorrow, see how difficult it is to get to the horn and also if i can fit both in the space there is

im gonna have a go at nearside grille out first, it must be pretty straightforward to take out as it needs to come out for routine foglight changes

its a streak of pi55 with the 1 phillips screw then the two phillips fotr the fog but you wont have enough space to get you ratchet or spanner through the fog light hole to get your hand or the new horn in i tryed this but i couldnt get my hand in there!

i have the facelift FR, the side grilles are a fair bit bigger, and i have a long ratchet adapter so i might be ok on the side, i can see the horn through the grille seems a fair bit of space in there

would of thought the hole that the wiring of the fog goes throu would have been roughly the same size its worth a go if it saves you taking off the bumper but i tryed it on mine and with the tools ive got at home i couldnt do it without dropping the undersheild

shouldnt be a problem anyway then, ive got a shed full of snap-on

say ive got ££££'s worth of snap on at work and this job would be no task but using a knife and a stapler at home makes the job trickey

it was a joke just stating i dont have any good tools at home! i would never use a knife on my car or a stapler!

cupra's and face lift's must be a fair bit different then as my 2005 fr took me half an hour to pop the side mesh thing off and reach in to fit a pair of horns

I must admit it was a bit tight and my knuckles were red though

behind my fog surround and lamp there is only a hole about 4"x 4" i havent got small enough hands for me to get in there that way
