Electric turbo?

was asking nathwarr if the electric turbo he saw on the rolling road was either a load of pelican poo (crap) or good

It could be interesting on my turbo diesel for the pre-turbo-spinup boost, you could effectively use it as an electric supercharger I suppose. Only I don't know if it would be reliable, what kinda current it would pull, and how long it would last :D

Sure it may look like a stupid idea but it does work within limits ;)

electric supercharger

I don't believe that it is a computer cooling fan as the electric supercharger draws 30 amps and the computer cooling fan that I have in front of me is 0.24 amps!

Sure it may look like a stupid idea but it does work within limits ;)

not to mention the risk of running lean - surprised that pickup allowed em to leaf blow and N2o spray it like that - seen engines melt with a lot less stupidity than that :redface:
