hi all, im new so take it easy on me!

my car came with a forge re-circing dump valve on it. i went out and bought a normal dump valve as i prefer the noise of those, so i machined up a bung ( a sort of upside-down top hat) and blocked off where it recirced to

i started the car and it just wanted to die, didnt want to idle at all, the same sort of thing when starting a car with carbs when cold.

so i took the bung out and tried it, and all was fine.

could i leave it with the reciric boss open? what would be the result of this? and finally, why did it not want to run when it was blocked off? is there an air sensor there maybe?

cheers chappies, look forward to hearing back from you.

lol i'd have thought you wouldnt be back...the answer is no

if anything got into the tip and crunched the turbo that wouldnt be good. also you'd prob lose boost and eventually a fault code will appear and you'll get stuck in limp mode every now and again

fit the recirc valve properly or sell the car cos its just gonna devalue and go to ****. the right induction kit will have you wooshing all the way to tesco car park if thats the sound your after...but dont start another thread asking which induction kit. use the search and do some reading.

and nobody likes dual posts...one is enough
