well thge day i've been loking forward too for too long has come, i'm going tommorro to test drive and hopefully buy a cupra r.

I'v been looking for a few months for decent one and i've found one at a garage. Spoken to them on the phone and they have already offered me a decent part ex figure for my car so all being well tommorro, so long as i can haggle a bit on the price of the car, i may end up being the owner of a red lcr!!!! i can't wait.

Will update you when i'm back but jst needed to share my excitement with people who understand! :funk:

i've got a black car at the minute and although it looks gorgeous when its clean it takes all of a day to look dirty again. also didn't think there were as many red ones around so fancied something a bit more unique.

Exactly the reason I bought a red one, I thought you never see red LCR's until I had it a fortnight and I was in the CO-OP tiny car park in Ashford when another red LCR pulled into it - It was funny as, myself and the other driver exchanged smirks as we were obviously thinking the same thoughts. :)

Hi Prophet,

I too live in Bristol and have recently become the proud owner of a LCR. Mine is black though so I have also invested in a large bottle of car shampoo. You don't see very many LCRs in this part of the world so be prepared for lots of jealous stares as you cruise around.

Which garage are you buying yours from?

well i just got home, took me 3.5 hours to get home and well it was worth it!! i now own a lcr in red. picking it up on saturday morning all being well, cannot wait god knows how i'm gona sleep lol.

was performance specialist in sussex, don't have any pictures at the min but i'l start another post when i get it.

One quick question, how can i get the tax sorted out on it?? i've got 4 months left on the car i px'ed and they said to get it transfered but looking on internet now looks like tax is not transferable.

That's awesome news mate, I shall keep my eye out for you and if you see a black LCR in Bristol make sure you give me a honk! Although don't try and race me because black LCRs can travel faster than the speed of light. (That's why they're black ;) )

Just out of interest where do you get yours serviced in bristol? or plan on getting it serviced?

I'm going to get it serviced at Holders in Congresbury as they are about the only Seat garage in this part of the world and they have a pretty decent reputation. I don't know of any decent VAG specialists in Bristol but depending how I get on with Holders I might have a look into it.

Enjoy your drive back from Sussex tomorrow morning, you will love it!

had thought about holders, just seems a fair way to go for a service. i know of a couple of vw / audi specilists in the area so may check whether they can do Seat as well.

The pickup tommorrow is looking jeperdised now, car has no tax, garage can't tax it as there not down as a registered owner, i need a cover note from my insurance to be able to tax it. Right royal pain in a**.

Anyone know whether;

a) You have to be the registered owner to tax the vehicle - ie; someone else specifically insured in the car taxes it whilst i'm with them?

b) You can tax a car with a downloaded / emailed insurance cover note instead of a hard copy?
