Some electric items not working after fitting radio

fitted my new stereo last night only to discover today that i had wired the switch and constant the wrong way round.

So swaped them over today but when sliding my stereo back into the cage on of the bullet connectors must have popped out as now the stereo wont work on ignition at all [:@] So slid it back out and connected everything up properly only to find it still wont work...

found that there is no power going to the switched 12v at the back of the stereo. very strange i thought. Checked the fuses and they all seemed ok. nipped to the shops and on my return found that the autounlock when removing my key also had stopped working along with the interior light comming on when i take out the keys.

i presume these are all related but i cant find anything anywhere which could shed some light on the subject!!

Your help would be muchly appreciated!

Next stage is test for a live, using a tester. Check if power coming from ignition and battery live. (pick them £2 quid eletronic store).
If there is live coming from the car, you may need have head unit checked, try using a old head unit to see if that still works.

i had similer problem with audi once, found fuse was blown but didnt notice it. i use a tester in the fuse box and found there was power coming in.
Try a tester if, it there is power goin, there may burnt wire from fuse box to the head unit.

Have you pulled out every fuse and checked it?

Does your interior light still come on when you pull the key out of the ignition?

could be, i'm gunna try them with a tester in the morning. also gunna give the ECU a reset as 2 warning lights have come on now due to unplugging random fuses to see if there are intact haha

That points to the "S" Signal fuse...I've blown many of these while changing stereos! On the MK4 Ibiza its a 5 or 10amp mini blade fuse, its probably the same on the Leon.

Find the owners manual and swap that fuse with another one from your fuse box (one that doesn't do much). If that doesn't work, you know your problem is with the "S" signal wiring/components.
