All tranny losses are low at awesome.

Wheel horse power matters, fly figures are calculated from the whp.

BTW a standard 130 "should" be 130 at fly and around 110 at the wheels but we all no thats not true.

you keep being surprised then, lol, tbh, i dont think that your fly to wheels sounds right, its a too minimal loss, i would have thought that on another rolling road you would see nearer 120 bhp at the wheels, but i would be happy to "test" my car against yours if you want?

If it ain't right then there is alot of inaccuracies in the rolling road set up and as a result alot of cars that have had various rolling road runs including the one I was on are wrong. People have been on the RR I was on, and then another and still got similiar results.

I couldn't care less anyway, remapping a car is not on my priority list. Just saying that for a remapped car I would expect more at the wheels than yours is putting out.

I also have a little loss from the fly to the wheels.

On 1 RR i had 220,8hp and 205,4whp
On the other RR i had 221,4hp and 199,2whp.

So 15/20hp loss is normal ;)

i have heard awesome rolling roads have been funny and after looking at a few of these i decided to speak to the revo dealer i use for a rolling road. his rolling road is SPOT on. my ibiza cupra tdi hit 160 exactly with 5k on the clock.. i had it remaped and Will told me to expect just under 190 bhp and thats exactly what i got Will was impressed it was 188bhp he thought more 184 ish. (not sure 4 bhp is noticeable lol)

so ur pd 130 makes more at the wheel standard than my cupra did? and u dont think theres something fishy ??

Smee

Nope, as a number of PD130's I have seen on rolling roads have put out more than standard. Just like the Leon FR TDi has in once case put out 193bhp standard I think it was, check the Leon section.

If anyone really belives that VW's engineering is so poor that individual vehicle differences mean that a standard PD130 can put out more at the wheels than a standard PD160, there's not a lot to say other than NO CHANCE!

not exactly vw explained but its talks about calculating bhp wheel and fly wheel

http://www.pumaracing.co.uk/coastdwn.htm

pd 130 is approx fly wheel power

( 130 * 0.9 ) - 10 is a more likely estimate of ur cars bhp

= 107 Wheel bhp
my cupra

( 160 * 0.9 ) - 10 = 134 wheel bhp

bear in mind my rolling road is on the hottest day of the year i got 120 wheel bhp standard

remap

( 188 * 0.9 ) - 10 = 159.2 again wasnt the coolest day in the world a lot cooler than the first run and i didnt hit my estimate there.

clive runs 2 tests and then uses both to calculate a better result.

i know there is always a conflict on calcs but i think we all agree 11bhp lose from flywheel to wheel is a stupid figure

Was just simply pointing out that my car is not the only one that is putting out more than claimed. Not a fan of remaps anyway as I don't see how plugging a computer into a car costs £500.

why what does that give u what p-torque dont?

ur wasting 200 pound on nothing.. and clive is a revo dealer and agreed it was a good remap and i wouldnt of got much more from a revo if anything
