213bhp - 310lb/ft - 12 month warranty- £400 (with 10% discount)

Whats the catch?

I wonder what Revo's figure will come out as.

Seems very tempting and will scare a few Cupra R owners

What are everyones thoughts ?

I have had a Superchips remap, but it was for a MK4 Golf Gti 1.8T and TBH I was never happy with the post 'chipped' performance....the car was slightly quicker sure but nothing brilliant. I always felt slightly robbed and I know (having been in a Revo'd Mk4 Golf GTi 1.8T that there was more potential)

I have also had remaps on diesles and petrols (SEAT's and Audi's) from Revo and Forge and both seemed far better bang for my buck. I had one car for 50k miles so reliability wasn;t an issue and the power delivery was perfect IMO.

Having spent my hard earned I would go back to Revo or Forge but wouldn;t go back to Superchips

Back from the dead
I was shocked and somewhat dismayed to find out the Superchips Bluefin has been selected by the Volkswagen Group as the approved tuner of choice for its Volkswagen Racing cars.

I've never been a big superchips fan. A mate at work has a Bluefin upgrade on her Mini One (which only puts it at Cooper territory, no further).

I can't speak from experience, but I'd certainly research some others before buying in.

Eh? What's that in English?

I've got Bluefin on my ST, but purely due to the fact that it's the only switchable product out there. Now if Revo or Forge had made a product I would definately have gotten that rather than Bluefin. It's not that there's anything wrong with it as such, but it just doesn't feel quite "right", but on the other hand it doesn't feel "wrong".

I think that's spot on..

The Superchips product I had and drove for 40k miles was good in the respect it never put a foot wrong. There was a warranty with it too if i recall and the dealer that fitted it lent me a car for the morning while the work was completed.

So pretty good.

Although there was more power though the car never felt significantly quicker like other remaps have. I still had major issues with getting stomped on by PD150 Golfs and even PD130's weren't much slower.....

Hi Kev,

I assume you're referring to the PD170 model?! We're working on the software at the moment, unfortunately as we're working on the switching and flashing routines I have no specific info on the expected performance gains. Drop us an email once you have your car and we'll be able to tell you where we are with it then!

k4ith I am not revo development just share the same first name :)

One of my top hates on a diesel is when you boot em you leave a cloud of black smoke the DPF claims to cure this problem and make the engine 90% efficient as apposed to 85%.

I am all for anything that saves the planet in anyway as long as it don't take my fun away :)
