Still not managed to find that special cupra:(

Was just wondering though what sort of MPG return is everyone getting?
I know it all depends on what tuning has been carried out, but on average?

How much does it cost to fill up dry-full? how many miles are you lot getting to a tank?

Sorry about the spanish inquisition!:)

hi mate i've got a mk3 ibiza cupra that has been re-mapped by awesome gti and the mpg is not that gud i get about 20mpg - 24mpg if i drive it sensibely. but if i race then i get about 14-19mpg but it only costs about £35 may be £40 to fill up. so it's not to bad, although when it was standered it was much better.

Lmao, something must be up with your car mate.

35-37mpg all day for me.

Im i bit confused. i have been reading some of the older threads about MPG's and have read mixed reports, some people are getting 35-38mpg some are getting closed to 30 and some are even getting as low as 20mpg.

whats the ture story, even though a cupra is going to be a huge improvement on the williams, but will be thinking twice if its as bad as some peoples reports.

This is a frendly board but just seems pointless answering the same questions over and over again, When the search button has the answers to all your questions, (Well most of them.

But for th record im getting around 25-30mpg and all my driving is on normal roads Eg not motorway or very rearly.

But im not botherd about my MPG as i dont pay for petrol ;)

All depends how you drive where you drive and length of drives...

Mike gets about 24MPG on average going to work and coming home it's about 28MPG.. cause he goes a different route.. roughly 240 to a tank.. which I think now is about £35-£40 to fill....

A lot of it is down to how "heavy" your right foot is...

cheers guys, thats been a great help. so if i was to leave it as standard i'll getting around 30-37mpg and if i modify ill be looking at around 25-30mpg?

Thats good enough for me, just realised as well that i claim petrol back through work anyway, so in theroy i only have to pay for personal use. which makes it quite cheap to run.

Other question. does anyone know what it cost per mile to run.... i claim back 30p per mile, so if im not gaining then ill tapp my MD up for a higher claim rate.

the on board computer is a bit of a joke.. think it must depend on your instantaneous mpg because i've done like 40mile journeys and arrived with apparently more miles left in the tank that when I set off haha.

I'm averaging 32ish standard. Its the cold/slow journeys about town that really lower it.

Your meant to get better MPG after a map because the car don't work as hard... Like i said it all depends on different things..

24MPG for country driving which is a mix of easy going and a bit of hard driving is great to see considering I only ever got 24MPG outta my CTR driving it nice....

Just got my ibiza cupra last month, already found that the on board comps average miles to gallon is a joke its usually 2-3 mpg less than indicated when worked out the good old fashion way.

Do 50 miles a day to work on a mixture of out of town, busy motorway and town, best so far driving gently is 250 to a tank at 28.5 mpg and the worst is around 190 at just under 22 mpg. All depends on how heavy your right foot is.

On a steady motorway jaunt could easily get to high 30's.

33-35mpg avg on current spec on avergage driving through lanes to work (10m each way commute) with the odd blast/overtaking manouvre.

Although mpg is much better with custom remap compared to standard map

I just got 270miles at about 30-32mpg which was £35 and about 42ltrs. Just filled it up tonite and was showing only 5miles left. I put ANother £35 and got 42 ltrs. Miles to empty was showing 300.
