Iv just brought a leon Cupra R 03 and was wondering if you can take the original Cd changer out and replace it with a different one as i want to put a dvd changer in there with a screen.

So long as it physically fits and you have a way of securing it in place, then of course.

Find out the dimensions of the changer you're looking at buying and see if it will fit. If so, carry on. If not, you'll need to find somewhere else for it.

I have an alpine 6 disc in mine , I just had to trim the plastic surround to make it fit.

The most common way of doing this is to relocate, you can get the glove box liner so that is restored to normal then relocate the new disc changer to the boot, the standard head unit can be replaced with a replacement one and you need to get some side bits for it (standard seat parts available from a dealer).

Adaptor:confused:

I have an Alpine head unit running the Cd changer.
The Alpine changer is slightly larger than the Seat one so the plastic surround that fits around the Seat cd changer has to be trimmed down to fit around the Alpine one.
